MEET THE VISIONARY
Abayomi Olukanmi, our Founder & CEO, began his journey in the entertainment industry over two decades ago. Starting as a production assistant intern with Fidelis Duker Productions in 2001 while pursuing a diploma in Economics at Lagos State University, he quickly immersed himself in the demanding world of film and television.
By 2007, during his final university year, he served as personal assistant to Nollywood icon Segun Arinze. After graduating in 2008, he joined Kingsley Ogoro Productions as an assistant production manager and collaborated on music projects with gospel legend Sammie Okposo — often juggling multiple roles at once.
These formative years built an unmatched foundation: hands-on set experience, deep industry relationships, and an unwavering passion for storytelling. In March 2014, Abayomi channeled that expertise into founding Abazee Productions — transforming a personal vision into Africa's go-to destination for professional film equipment rental and production support.
Today, with one of the region's most advanced inventories and a highly skilled technical team, Abazee remains the trusted partner for directors like Clarence Peters, TG Omori, and Dammy Twitch, Afrobeats giants including Davido, Asake, and Wizkid, major advertising agencies, and Nollywood's biggest stars.
